About the session

Wool is an extraordinary fibre. As Dilling’s dye master Charlotte Høgedal put it in our recent Good Wool Collective session, “Sheep have been blessed with the best overcoat that we can wish for. Wool keeps them warm when it’s cold, cool when it’s warm, and, thanks to lanolin, dry in wet conditions.” These same properties make wool a sought-after textile, but how do we ensure that the treatments wool undergoes in the supply chain don’t strip away its natural benefits?
